The role of fillings in the cooling tower is to increase the contact surface between droplets of circulating hot water and air, with the aim of maximizing the amount of heat transfer and the cooling capability of the tower.

This type of packing mostly used in cases where the circulating coolant water, contains a small amount of Suspended Solids (TSS).
